I use delegate strategy to get collisions from child game objects into my parent game object. The labels of the types of wheels are on the right side, tatsu.

Enabled colliders will collide with other colliders, disabled colliders won't. We can say it happens magically the same. Is there no way of creating a custom collider for my 3d object in unity?

The mesh collider however doesn't have any green lines surrounding in the image below it since it uses the tree mesh, outlined.
